Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Tips

Our Family enjoys Walt Disney World throughout the year but, one of the perks of visiting Walt Disney World during the fall season is "Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party."

Our family adores "Mickey's not so scary Halloween Party".  Below I have come up with a few things we learned in attending these fun ghoulish parties.  Before I start the list, I want to make it clear that this is not a scary event and it is fun for the entire family....We usually try and attend two of these parties the week we visit during our Fall trip.

The Fun Decor upon entering the Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom

1.  Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is held at Magic Kingdom on select nights from September 1 through Oct 31.  From 7 pm to 12 am.  A normal park ticket will not get you into this event.  Its also very important to remember to eat dinner before this event or as soon as you get into the park.  Unless you want a hot dog from Casey's. Also children under 3 years old are free.

2.  Haunted Mansion has cute photo opportunities and if you're lucky you might see a lady ghost up on the hill talking to you... Quick Tip:
Try to make Haunted Mansion one of your first stops for the night...The ghost that sits in front of the House on the hill might not be there later on...

3. Purchasing Halloween Party tickets in advance will get you a discount.
Ticket prices start at $62 per person for this event.

4.  Wearing a Costume is a must for the family...Cast Members and even the Characters dress up for the Halloween Parties.  Halloween Balloons are also for sale during the party.

5. Trick or Treating around the park is made easy with the maps given to you with pinpoints of the  candy locations, show times, fireworks schedule, parade times and character spots...
There is a light up balloon or lamps where you can trick or treat. So as you walk through the park and you see these area's you know it is for trick or treating :)

6.   The Boo-To-you Parade happens 2 times...
Once at 8:15 and the other time is at 10:30...We always hit the later parade because most people leave after the Halloween Fireworks show, so the halloween parade isn't as busy :).

7.  The Happy Hallowishes Fireworks spectacular is the fireworks show you must see.  A Halloween version of the Fireworks Spectacular "Wishes"  It is at 9:30 pm during the party.

8. The Villans Castle show  is a fun way to see the Disney villains and after the show you can meet them...this show is on the times guide giving to paid party guests upon arrival

9.  The Dapper Dans are in Frontierland throughout the night dressed as the dead cowboys...They sing and act silly with guests...(these guys are not scary by the way)

10.  Meeting Rare Characters during the Halloween Party Characters that are usually out like Mickey and minnie, Goofy, Donald and Daisy are all dressed for Halloween...Winnie the pooh, Tiger, Eyore and Piglet also join in on the fun....You also have a chance to meet Snow White with her seven dwarfs,  Tarzan, Jane and Turk, The Princesses with their prince...Tiana and Her Prince...Other characters who don't normally come out for the fun visit around the park :)!
