Disneyland Vs Walt Disney World

We love both Disneyland and Walt Disney World...We don't like either better than the other; in fact we like the differences....A true Disney Lover loves Disney no matter what! That said, I realize there are many of you out there who love and adore Disney and who have been to Disney World, but have never had the opportunity to go to Disneyland.  If you are a Disney Nut like I am; then I believe you should save up for a trip to the Land and to California Adventure and Here is why....

The Below Photos have all been taken by me or with our family camera.

To start with one of my favorite things that is different at Disneyland and worth seeing is when Dumbo Soars over all of the Fireworks spectators :)! Yes Tinkerbell does as well like at Walt Disney world, but Dumbo flying is just too cool :). Its so cool I am not even adding it to the list! :)

1.   Disneyland is Walts first park that he created and dreamed up. Its where he walked, slept and ate, imagined up new ideas and planned new attractions...Basically I get chill bumps walking through Disneyland because you can literally feel Walts presences, his ideas and his wishes for the magic to live on......

2.  Indiana Jones Ride (WOW)

3.  Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, Mr. Toads wild Ride.  I categorize these as one because they are in fantasy land

4. Toon Town is still there and it is amazing....

5. The Roger Rabbit ride and area in toon town

6. The very fact you can walk around in Sleeping Beauties Castle without a reservation is cool by itself

7. Pixie Hollow....Yes there is a Pixie Hollow and its the best most magical place to meet the Fairies

8. Big Thunder Ranch...Our Family loves to eat here every time we visit.

9. The Small World Ride....Its beautiful to view on the outside and the inside has Disney Dolls from the movies that are in their countries.  During the Holiday's the ride is transformed into a Christmas wonder..

10.  Haunted Mansion...This Ride is also beautiful to view from the outside and during the holidays it too transforms into the nightmare before Christmas.

11. The Characters that you cant always see at WDW show up more often at DL...Roger Rabbit is one :)!

12. The way they make your experience more personal...Truly there is no comparison with the feeling you get at DL

13.  The Train around the park....Sigh...SO AWESOME

14. Fantasy Faire

15. Birthday's are unreal at Disneyland

16. The Disneyland Honorary Citizen Button

California Adventure

17. Paradise Pier and Mickey's Ferris Wheel...AWESOME!

18. The Aladdin Show...The best Disney Show I have ever seen...And the Guy who plays the Genie is unreal awesome!

19.  World Of Color  The best show Disney has ever created...Hands down a must see.

20.  The Character Dance parties that happen daily

21.  The 20's theme and the fact the all the characters walking around are all dressed in this attire

22. Soarin...Yes, I know its in WDW, but Soarin is so much better when you are in the actual state they filmed it in!

23.  Bugs Land and the fun rides there to do with little ones....You can also meet Flick...Love Flick

24.  Monsters Inc Ride...LOVE IT! :)

25. Last but Not least OMG CARSLAND...PEOPLE! This alone is the single most important reason as a Disney Nerd to visit Disneyland Resorts!

Rose Petal Tea Party at The Disney's Grand Floridian Resort Hotel

Our youngest daughter turned 10 on September 20th 2013. To celebrate we took her to a special tea party at the Grand.  What a beautiful and fun experience.  I must say it was quite expensive, but the sweet memories we made are well worth the cost to us.  Our oldest son Hayden didn't like the experience as much as the rest of us and wasn't quite in the mood to celebrate Gracie's birthday. Rose Petal gave him pirates ears, which I must say suit our dear son extremely well.

Here are the photos from this lovely time and some funny ones as well.

Rides for babies and children under 5

I have come to the conclusion that many people don't realize that almost every ride and attraction at a Disney park is geared toward the ENTIRE family.. Most families who have never been assume that their babies and elderly or pregnant women can't ride a lot of rides.  There is a list of the height requirements for rides and attractions in every park on Disney's website, but I decided to put them all on  here to make it easier to view.

Here is the list of rides in each park in Walt Disney World and at Disneyland Resorts that are appropriate for pregnant women and young children.

Here are some photos of me pregnant at Disneyland and Walt Disney World
